Hi I'm Karen

I'm a left-handed, native Idahoan living in the Northeast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I got married in 2002 and became a mother in 2007. I have 4 beautiful little girls. I use to teach Social Studies at a Jr. High School but I've taken an ongoing leave of absence from the working world to play Mommy. Leaving my job to be a Mom was one of the most difficult choices I have ever made but I have never doubted that it was the right choice. I loved my job, I was excellent at my job. However, I LOVE my girls and am so blessed that I am able to stay home with them, I know that I'm doing an important work at home. I was raised in a large (I'm 8 of 13) family in the West but now live in the Northeast. I enjoy a good book, cooking (and then eating), traveling, going to garage sales, learning new things and chilling with my family. I dabble with sewing but everything I make looks homemade. I have a love for all things history and an unquenched appetite for traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I was taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ from the time I was a small child. What a blessing to be raised with the knowledge and understanding that God loves me and that I am his child. I look at the world around me and it is such a testimony that God lives, loves us, and wants us to come back to him. I find joy in the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I work with the children (ages 18 months to 12 years old) in our ward (congregation). I get to spend two hours every Sunday with them learning scripture stories, songs, and how to be come more like our Savior. It's truly been a blessing and a strength for me to work with little spirits and often reminds me of the small and simple things that are so important in our lives. If you ever doubt Jesus' love come spend some time in primary with us.
