Hi I'm Sara Jaramillo

I grew up hiking in the mountains. I work as a Camp Counselor teaching girls to empower themselves. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of 8, I have a twin brother. I love to spend time in the mountains, hiking and camping. I attend school at Brigham Young University- Idaho. I work as a camp counselor during the summers. I am about to serve a mission in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the feelings I get when I hear and talk about the gospel. I grew up in the church, but both my parents converted when they are young. Their testimonies help to strengthen mine, but I also have a testimony separate of theirs. My testimony is based upon the teaching pf Christ and the desire I have to return to him and The Father. When I am reading the Book of Mormon I know that the words and teachings were inspired from God. I have prayed and felt the peace that comes. I know that this the true church of the Lord, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

As a youth in the church I spent lots of time leading and organizing the girls. I called and visited them weekly. My faith in the eternal family helps me to see the Love the lord have for all of his children. I try to find that love for those that i meet. At my work I am in a unit of 4 other adults who take care of 24 girls. I am a leader in this group and I rely on prayer to help me through the day. I pray to have the spirit with me and to allow others to see the light of Christ through me and my actions.
