Hi I'm Vanessa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a girl of many interest. My main sport is dance. I do ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip hop and occasionally ballroom. Besides all of my dancing though you will often find me in the garage with my father restoring old muscle cars or out shooting and hunting. I am a junior in high school and plan to go to college and become an ultrasound technician. I am the youngest of eight children. I belong to a "yours, mine and ours" family. I am the "ours."

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised LDS all of my life. As a child i looked up to Christ as my example. I remember a time in my life when i was about the age of thirteen, my testimony of the church was the strongest it had ever been. As i entered high school i was exposed to the worldly trends and fell into them. I choose a direction that never would be good to go through. It is through the church though that i have found faith and hope. Knowing that Christ is there for me everytime i pray for help and repentance is there for everytime i mess up, is a huge step to the strength of my testimony. I have found reading in both the Book of Mormon and the Bible every morning makes my day so much brighter than the days i put it off. I always find strength in the scriptures during a difficult time as well. This church has blessed my family through many trials and provides support. The biggest blessing it has given me is faith. I have faith that i am here for a reason. I have faith that i go through trials so i can become more like my heavenly father. I have faith that i will return to live with him and my family when the time comes and be truley happy. I say these things with faith in Christ and of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I am involved with a group called the Young Women. We spend much of our time preparing ourselves for the time we are away from home and strating our new futures. I have completed something called Personal Progress, which is much like a young man's Eagle award. I have put in many hours serving my church with service to those around me and still continue too.
