Hi I'm Don

I've lived all over the country. I'm a nontraditional college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for almost 15 years. I am a laid off funeral director, who has decided to go back to college. I am recent college graduate with my bachelor degree in health science. I like to read, and when I get time recreating history with the SCA.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon church, and grew up in Utah. Joining the Army National Guard exposed me to a lot more diversity in the world, and that is when I wanted to know for myself, if all that I was taught to believe was true. So I took the promise of the Book of Mormon to heart, and read and prayed to find out for myself. Being Mormon has helped me to avoid some of the issues of the world and to focus on what is truly important, God and family.

How I live my faith

I am involved with the young men in church. I am trying to teach them not only the knowledge of the Church, but also the things they need to know to become good citizens. I also help out with the scout troop that we sponsor. It can all be a lot of work, but when talking to them later on and to hear them remember a certain lesson that has stuck with them through their teen years, it makes it all worthwhile.
