Hi I'm Micaela

I am a high school student, runner, singer, and swimmer. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a high school student. I run cross country, participate on swim team, and sing in choir at my high school. I love to read a good book when I have the time. I have done a few triathlons and hope to do more. I love to sew and create things. I love my family and enjoy spending time with my siblings and parents.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was eight. I have been raised in the church. Even though I didn't convert from another religion to become a Mormon, I still had to have a conversion of my heart. It was not a lightning bolt experience, that made me know that this is the true church. It was more of a gradual conversion; small experiences have happen that increase my testimony of a one belief. My testimony is still growing. I also am Mormon because of the blessings it brings to me. When I get married I hope to be able sealed to my family for time and all eternity, which means even after this life I will still be with them. Another blessing that the gospel has given me is that I have a strong foundation and I know who I am and what I should do. It helps me makes decisions daily and not base them off what others think.

How I live my faith

Even though I am still in high school, I am given responsibilities at church. I am the youth leader of the girls in my age group. Some of my responsibilities are to call the girls and remind them of activities, assign people to say prayer and lead the music before we start, and be there for them. I also participate in family home evening on monday night, family scripture study, and family prayer. I live my faith by following my standards. It can be hard sometimes putting that really cute dress back on the rack because it's too short. It can be hard getting up the courage to ask someone to stop cussing. It can be hard to turn off that the popular song because of its message. But I know it is all worth it in the end because I am a daughter of God and should act accordingly.
