Hi I'm Steven Hayward

I'm married and have five children. I work for Nestle in the product development department.

About Me

I am a father of five wonderful children -- three boys and two girls. The oldest is nineteen and the youngest is nine. I have been married to my beautiful wife for 21 years. My main interest in life includes spending time together with them. I also enjoy being outdoors whether that means skiing, boating, fishing, hiking or any other excuse to be outside. Most of the sports I play now are done vicariously through my children. When I have free time, which isn't very often, I spend it doing yard work, gardening, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe we have a Father In Heaven. He loves us and wants us to return to Him. He has given us a plan to show us how that can happen. I have grown up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints "Mormons". Growing up like most adolescents I made mistakes and had to decide if my faith was true or not. Through prayer and other means I came to know that there is a God who knows and love us. He sent his Son to atone for our mistakes and make it possible for us to live with Him. He restored His church in these latter days and established prophets to lead and guide His work. I was blessed to share this message with the Korean people for two years. It has brought great happiness to my life as I am obedient and have faith in these teachings. It is my hope to exemplify these truths by the way I live my life.

How I live my faith

I have been able volunteer with the youth by coaching them in various sports. I also make an effort to be actively engaged in my neighborhood and community as well as politics. I've been able to actively serve in many various callings in my ward. I currently serve in the bishopric. I understand the importance of being a responsible and active hometeacher in my ward. I am a true believer in following the Golden Rule and treating others with respect, the way I would want to be treated.
