Hi I'm Stephanie

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I'm a wife, mother and grandmother of 19. I'm a business owner and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of six and grandmother of 19. I have three sons and three daughters, five granddaughters and 14 grandsons. I am a wife. I graduated from High School, attended a semester of college where I met my husband. About one year later we married and have been married for 37 years. I like to travel and have seen some wonderful places. I like to read, cook, make quilts, draw and want to learn to paint. I learned to scuba dive and have been diving in some beautiful places. I enjoy walking among nature. I love to see wildlife and enjoy all of God's creations! I love to enjoy sunsets, oceans, mountains, trees and fields of grass and flowers. I love to learn and find I am learning something new each day.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church after I graduated from High School. I found the teachings to just make sense. It makes sense that we lived before we were born. It makes sense that we were created and not evolved from nothing. It makes sense that there is a purpose to life. And, it is totally comforting to know that we don't just cease to exist - we live and love for eternity. It makes sense that I can be with my partner throughout eternity and that we can have our children with us and our loved ones and friends. My testimony of Jesus Christ has become a knowledge and a trusted relationship. It always made sense that Jesus Christ lived on the earth. That He atoned for my sins, died on the cross and was resurrected is as real to me as the air I breathe. And it just makes sense that God would speak to us today through a prophet just as He did anciently. Everything about the Church makes sense and is real. My life since joining the Church has a depth and a happiness that didn't exist before I joined. I have learned to recognize that the Spirit of God speaks to each of us and that it is a quiet voice or perhaps just a feeling of peace. But, nonetheless, it is real. The Gospel brings me joy, peace, comfort, happiness, peace of mind. I know my Savior lives! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teaches me how to live the life that Jesus would have me live. It teaches me to love my neighbor, to forgive others, to be kind and to serve. I am grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I don't just believe - I know it is the truth!

How I live my faith

I work with the young women ages 12-18. I get to enjoy learning about each young lady and experience many fun activities with them. I have the joy of teaching them about the gospel standards and about things that will help them as they grow up and go out on their own. We do service projects to help benefit our community, for example we are collecting food for the underprivileged and giving it to an organization that provides food to homeless and less fortunate individuals. We made a blanket and gave it to a community center where victims of abuse are interviewed. We will be providing babysitting services for a place that houses children before they are placed in foster care. I also have the joy of visiting women who are my age and older. I find such joy in the friendships and opportunities for service that present themselves from these associations.
