Hi I'm Blake

I'm 24 years old, a husband, an entrepreneur, a commercial real estate broker, an early morning seminary teacher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a beautiful girl who is my best friend. I have many big dreams and goals that I have written down and carry with me wherever I go, but the most important goal I have is to be an amazing husband. Everything else is secondary to an eternal marriage with my wife. I am a commercial real estate broker. I love business. I don't believe that it is just by accident that I have ended up in this profession. I know that God has put me in a position where I can bless many lives in the work place.

Why I am a Mormon

It is just in me. Ever since I was a kid I had a strong desire to follow God's commandments. As a kid in Junior High School I was faced with plenty of temptations where I had to choose early on what path I was going to take. It was at this time that I first began to read the scriptures (both the Book of Mormon and the Bible). As I read the scriptures, I started to have spiritual experiences and I began to understand what it feels like to have the Holy Ghost as my constant companion. In turn, I had no desire to entertain the temptations that most all high school kids have to face. I prayed to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet and if the Book of Mormon was true. I received my answer. At age 19 I served a 2 year mission in Cordoba, Argentina and it forever changed my life. It was there in the humblest living conditions I was able to see how families would experience supreme joy by living the gospel. As a young man I got really clear that my desire is to be a great husband and raise my future kids in the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by giving back to the community. I wake up each morning around 5am to prepare for and teach an Old Testament class to high school age kids. It was at their age that I was making decisions that forever changed my life, and I feel blessed to be a part of these kids' lives. Teaching seminary is more than just telling the stories of the Old Testament, but rather it comes down to creating an environment where my students can feel the Holy Ghost and where they can formulate their own desires to live a more Christ-like life. It has been a great blessing for me to see the faith of these 15 to 18 year olds sacrificing their time (and sleeping hours) to get up every school day to attend our Old Testament class.
