Hi I'm Rebecca

I grew up in Utah. I love running, cooking and life in general. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm attending college studying exercise science and physiology with the intent of becoming a dietitian. I have been a runner for many years and have also danced (tap, jazz, ballet and pointe) for most of my life. I love food, making and eating it and often try to find ways to make food healthier while keeping its flavor. I also love learning and am always willing to discover new ways to do things. I love the Food Network and watching movies, music is a must in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in a Mormon home. going to the LDS church, and pretty much having the gospel be my only option. My testimony really began to grow in high school when I had to stand up for my standards and develop a testimony of my own instead of relying on the testimony of those around me. I didn't always hang out with the other Mormons and often found myself answering questions about my church. I really began to ponder and pray while reading my scriptures and found that I already had a testimony of my own and that I was just adding to it as I studied more. I have had many experiences I know I could not have gotten through without the help and love of my Savior and Heavenly Father. They have done so much for me and I have felt their love for me many times, especially when I felt alone and like nobody cared. I know that my Savior is ALWAYS there for me to get me through the hard times; He suffered for me so I don't have to suffer alone. I can rely on Him to be there for me whenever and wherever I need Him, even if He helps me through other people. I also know I need to be there for others when He needs me to be there, or else how can I expect others to be there for me? I love this gospel and I know it is true. I'm so grateful to have it in my life and I know I would be a completely different person without it. It has saved my life; let it save yours.

How I live my faith

I am a member of the Ward Mission Committee and love going to the Missionary Preparatory classes to learn how to teach others the gospel I love so much. I love serving and try to serve others whenever possible. I love going to classes about the gospel during the week through the Institute program and have learned more than I ever thought I would during those classes. I have also felt the spirit testify of the truthfulness of the gospel as I run, search the scriptures, ponder and pray. As I meet new people and make new friends I find it easy to share the gospel and most importantly I try to teach by example whenever possible. I know other people have made a huge impact on my life by sharing their experiences and being examples to me, often without even realizing it, so I strive to do the same for others.
