Hi I'm Julie

I'm a small business owner, devoted wife and mother. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was a single mom for 10 years then finally met my price charming, we've been married almost as long. Our combined kids are now grown and we are empty nesters but we'd love to have more children. I love to be productive and busy so I run a home based business and teach others how to be successful too. I never thought I'd go from network engineer nerd to mentor and coach to women. I love helping others realize their dreams and bless their families. I enjoy gardening, cross stitch, baking, sewing, knitting, paper crafting decorating and painting. My husband and I mountain bike and enjoy exercise so we can eat what we like. My favorite time though is visiting with extended family and making memories together.

Why I am a Mormon

My grandma was the first to join the church in our family. Grandpa is an agnostic so religion can be a touchy subject @ their home. I grew up going to several different churches depending on what my parents where doing at the time, they divorced and there was a lot of back and forth for several years. I spent several summers at Baptist and Methodist church camps, attended Church of Christ as well as the Catholic church but every time I would get to visit with Grandma she would take me to church with her and it just always felt different, it felt right. When I was 11 I asked my aunt who lived close by to pick me up each Sunday so I could go with her to church. I don't remember why but I just knew I wanted to go and mom didn't object since she wasn't going to a church. I was baptised by my dad. My grandma and grandpa (same agnostic) along with my aunt and several others came. I will never forget how clean I felt, how loved by God. I knew heaven was smiling down on me. I can't say I never strayed but I can say that after living my way for several years I found myself back at church knowing this was the only place I hadn't looked to fill the hole in my soul that nothing else had filled. That was 14 years ago and I've been strong ever since. I love this gospel. I've tried every option the world had to offer, everything they make look good on TV just about and I honestly can say I've never found happiness and joy living any other way like I have since I became completely converted to the Lord and His gospel.

How I live my faith

I currently teach the 16 to 18 year old girls in the youth program at church. I love my girls, they are so strong and together we are learning so much. I believe that addage that the teacher always learns the most. I enjoy helping them learn how to apply scripture to their daily lives. I try to ask myself every day what am I doing to help others become strong and desirous to serve God? This helps me focus on others more because when I do my trials become easier to handle. Someone once told me when you feel depressed or down go looking for someone else to uplift and before you know it you'll feel better yourself too. I love how this gospel stretches me and helps me become more like Christ every day.
