Hi I'm Shauna

I love learning about those who follow Christ. I seek to be like them. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my pioneer heritage. I have a deep appreciation for those who came before me and showed the way. I enjoy reading stories from pioneer families of the sacrifices they made to worship as their hearts dictated. I pray, as a mother of four, that I may help my family and those around me to follow in the footsteps of those faithful ones who came before us.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. I feel closer to God every time I read from the scriptures and seek Him with prayer. I feel distant when I do not read, study, and pray. As the scriptures reveal, seeking the Spirit leads to eternal life and seeking worldliness leads to death or a separation from God. I am thankful for the blessing of the knowledge that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth in the Latter-Days and that I can be part of His work and glory in bringing to pass the immortality and eternal life of man (Moses 1:39).

How I live my faith

I am blessed to be able to serve in my congregation at church as a teacher of gospel doctrine. It is the perfect calling for me. I enjoy studying from the Old Testament, the New Testament, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine of Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. They all testify of Christ, His Father, the Holy Ghost, the prophets, and the great love for all of His children. I like to see how the disciples of Christ handled the challenges of their lives and the blessings or consequences they received, based on what their thoughts and behaviors garnered.
