Hi I'm Alan

I am a United States Marine, a husband, and a Mormon.

About Me

I served in the USMC with a combat deployment to Iraq in 2007. I am currently finishing up my bachelors in psychology to return to the military with a commission as an officer. I am married to a wonderful woman who keeps me on track. I have an innumerable amount of hobbies from chess to table top games, paintball, water sports, soccer, football, billiards, snowboarding. There are plenty of things I haven't done yet, but I always look forward to giving anything a try.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was growing up, I was a rebel child who attended church only because I was forced to. I left as soon as I turned 18 by enlisting in the Marine Corps. A very long story short, I experienced and saw so many moments of the gospel in action, that I decided I should look back into it. I took Moroni's challenge to heart, and I got my answer. It has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. Without that moment I wouldn't be where I am today.

How I live my faith

I am the Webelos den leader and building representative of my ward. I participate in activities with the older boys and I am actively involved in the activities of my ward. Personally I live my faith by doing the best I can to uplift everyone around me.
