Hi I'm Ray

I am a father of four. I am a baseball fanatic living in Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always lived in the western United States. I lived my childhood years in northern California, my teen years in Utah, and have lived in Arizona since my marriage. I developed a love for baseball from playing in my youth and being a devoted fan of the San Francisco Giants. A lifelong dream was realized in 2010 when they won their first World Series. I enjoy taking my children to Arizona Diamondbacks games as it reminds me of some of my most cherished memories growing up. I have 3 younger brothers and 3 older sisters. I enjoyed growing up in a large family and feel blessed to have maintained strong relationships with each of them and my parents. I look back fondly at the many vacations we took together to visit family. I have a bachelor's degree in communications and master's degree in business and I currently work as a program manager for a semiconductor company. I value my education not only as a foundation for my career but also because it was through high school and college that I gained friendships that have lasted to this day. I met my wife at college and we love raising four beautiful children together. I come from a musical family and have enjoyed singing in various choirs through the years. My wife is a talented dancer and we have enjoyed watching our children develop their own musical and dancing talents.

Why I am a Mormon

I am fortunate to have been raised in a strong Mormon family. I am blessed to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. Its organization and principles are the same that Christ led in ancient days. And it is through modern prophets that He has restored His church in our day. But my testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel comes from my own efforts in studying its principles and asking God for a personal witness. I believe that anyone can develop the same testimony through study and prayer regardless of their backgrounds. I served a Mormon mission in Brazil for two years and was privileged to introduce the Gospel to others and see how it changed many lives for good.

How I live my faith

I beleive that the purpose of this life is to serve others. It is through the service of others that God blesses us. The Church has provided many opportunities to help those in need, whether through disaster relief, welfare aide or community involvement. I have enjoyed participating in service projects such as volunteering at a local welfare farm or helping with a Boy Scout Eagle Project. I currently serve as a Boy Scout Committee Chairman. It is my responsibility to help the local troop fully utilize the scouting resources to plan fun actitivies and develop talents and skills that scouts will use to serve others throughout their lives.
