Hi I'm Shelbie

I'm a Mormon and I am a missionary.

About Me

My family is very important to me as well as music and education. I am an elementary education major and a missionary. I absolutely love little kids and think that their education is something they should be excited about. I am serving in the Dominican Republic Santiago Misssion. I am so excited to serve the Lord and His children!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel helps me become the person my Heavenly Father wants me to be. By being a member of the LDS church, I've learned that through Christ we can do hard things. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for me. He got mocked at, laughed at, and crucified. He went through every pain that I have been through and every pain that I am going to go through. I know He loves each and everyone of us with infinite love. I've read the Book of Mormon and the spirit testified to me that it is true. I know that Heavenly Father knows us personally and that He knows our strengths and weaknesses. He wouldn't give us something we couldn't handle. Being Mormon has taught me that if we turn to him in prayer, He will always answer and be right beside us. At times after praying you may not get the answer you want, but it may the best solution for you. Heavenly Father has a greater plan in store for you. I know that if we do the right thing our Heavenly Father will bless us.

How I live my faith

Everyday I try to be as Christ-like as possible. I try to see others as my Father in Heaven would see them. I strive to live the standards the church has set for me. Along with living the standards, I read my scriptures daily and pray to my Heavenly Father every day to gain a relationship with Him.
