Hi I'm Katie

I'm a teacher in Arizona.

About Me

I am about to be a mother of two girls. I teach fifth grade. I have an identical twin sister. I love to watch old and new movies. I cannot control my clutter and wish that I was otherwise. I will be the queen of organizatlion one day...

Why I am a Mormon

"By their fruits, ye shall know them". I have had great examples in my life and that is how my devotion started. The good choices of others helped me make good choices as well. Though my life is not challenge free, I know that I please my Heavenly Father when I follow Him. I have felt the undeniable feelings of "joy" of he gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I have been able to see the joy that Christ brings into the lives of others, especially those that are honestly and nobly seeking for Him. I have seen and felt the humility of those individuals that are converts to the Church and am impressed that individuals have such a desire to know Truth. I know that God Lives. Jesus is the Christ and that they know me. The best example of this is that I have an identical twin sister. No one knows me as much as she does. WE have many of the same strengths and weaknesses. We share the same nature and nurture. She is one of the first individuals that I turn to in times of happiness, worry or challenges because she knows me...particularly because she may have had similar circumstances. I liken that to the Savior. His life, during his mortality on earth, represents that he has gone through similar mortal experiences that we have. I am proud to be a member of His Church.

How I live my faith

Right now I teach 10 year olds about Jesus Christ with my husband. I have many conversations with my co-workers about family values and we help each other make good choices no matter our religlious affiliation.

What is being a Mormon like?

I feel very confident that my life has a divine purpose just like everyone else on this earth. I am very aware that others may not understand who I am as a Mormon, but know that they do not have to get to know me for long before they know that I am not a threat, but perhaps a curiosity. I like the good things of this earth and seek after them. It feels so good to have a purpose and to find "others" members of this Church or not, to affiliate with. Show more Show less
