Hi I'm Elizabeth

I'm a feminist. I'm a distance runner. I'm a traveler. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student at Brigham Young University, but for the next year and a half I'll be putting my education on hold to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Curitiba, Brazil. Travel is undoubtedly my favorite thing to do, but I also enjoy hiking, skiing, running, and pretty much anything that involves being outside in this amazing world God has created for us. I'm politically liberal, and I love keeping updated and being involved in politics.

Why I am a Mormon

I guess the simple answer is that I honestly believe this church is true. I honestly believe that God visited Joseph Smith, a young boy with a sincere question, and through him reestablished His true church on Earth. I honestly believe that God loves His children and communicates with them both individually and through prophets, just like in the days of the Bible. I have felt the reality of this gospel as I live its principles. I cannot pretend that everything about the church makes sense to me, but I do know that God knows and loves me individually, and through that knowledge I can always find peace.

How I live my faith

The best way to live my faith and be a true disciple of Jesus Christ is definitely through service. I know that if I'm not doing this, I'm missing the point of everything He ever taught. Right now, I'm serving full-time as a church missionary. I love having opportunities to teach others about the love our Heavenly Father has for each of us.
