Hi I'm Mike

I'm a graduate student in Psychology and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father. My wife and I have been married for 7 years now and every year is better than the one before. My 2 kids are 4 and 5 months. My daughter just had a birthday and she is the smartest person I know. My son is going to be trouble, he is already getting into things and he can't even crawl yet. I am currently getting a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and hope to be able to use that degree to benefit those in my community. As far as hobbies go I don't have many, I mostly like to spend time with my family and do fun things with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many reasons. First because over the course of my life I have gained a knowledge of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, I know that it is the word of God as is the Bible. Second because I have felt the spirit of God confirm what I have been taught all my life is true. Lastly becasue I know that God loves us, and that He guides us today through revelation, just as he did in ancient times. The fact that God loves me, as insignificant as I may think I am at times, means a great deal to me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in everyday of my life. From the schedule that I keep to the way that I talk and the way I act. I make it a point to make sure that what I do everyday is what I think that God would have me do. I try to uplift others, whether it's by encouraging others or simply avoidnig profanity. My words have a great impact and are one of the ways that I am able to live my faith. I also try very hard to help others. I want to be the kind of person who is there when the chips are down. I know the importance of having someone that you feel you can depend on and I try very hard to be that person. By being involved in the lives of my children and making sure that I teach them what is right, I am living my faith.
