Hi I'm Jacob

I'm a college student at BYU

About Me

I am the second child in a family of five. My family lives in Indiana but I am currently attending school at Brigham Young University. I am obsessed with music and everything that has to do with it; listening, playing, and writing. I plan on studying applied math in college but I love to learn about everything.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was born and raised a Mormon, I have had to make a conscience decision to be serious about my faith. When it comes down to it, I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, aka the Mormon Church, is the church of Jesus Christ on the earth today. I know that by being a member of this church and by living it's teachings that I am the happiest I can be. Not just the kind of happy that people are from skydiving or watching a good movie. This happiness is a happiness that lasts and is fulfilling down to the soul.

How I live my faith

The thing that I love about my faith and the church so much is that it is not just an activity or event to go to on Sunday and then check off the religious section of my life for the week. As a high school student, I attend a daily gospel study class at 6am every day we have school. Now this may seem crazy to some people and I know some mornings I question why I do it myself but over time I have come to realize why I get up and sacrifice the extra sleep. I know that when I go to seminary in the morning, my day has started off on the right note and that I can go about my day in the right mindset. As I go through my normal routine of going to school, there are so many things that test my resolve to live my faith everyday. From choosing what type of language I use to being honest on my school work, I am able to be an example to others around me by how I live my life. I know that when I live my life the way that I know I should that I am happier and that God is proud of me.
