Hi I'm Geoffrey

I'm a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spent eight years pursuing secondary education, but I'm not a doctor. I'm a tax attorney. But more importantly, I'm a husband and father of two beautiful children. Although I enjoy many activities, including but not limited to golfing, playing basketball, watching college football, camping, fishing, and globetrotting, each activity is immeasurably more enjoyable when we do it as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of my desire to learn about and live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My parents taught me about Jesus Christ and His gospel in my youth. When I was young I leaned upon my parent's understanding and knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As I matured I realized that I needed to find out or myself whether the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the Lord's church here on earth. I had read the Book of Mormon a few times and felt that the teachings contained therein were true. Nevertheless, I had not asked God for a confirmation of such truths. One night before climbing in bed, I knelt down and prayed to our Heavenly Father and asked if the Book of Mormon contained His word and if Joseph Smith had restored the fullness of the gospel to the earth. I recall receiving a warm and peaceful feeling that reassured me that the Book of Mormon is true and the Joseph Smith was divinely inspired to translate it. Although I was only eight years old when I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I distinctly remember the feeling of warmth, peace and joy as I entered through the waters of baptism. These experiences, along with a host of others, confirm my beliefs and provide me with an ongoing testament of the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and His church.

How I live my faith

I enjoy helping and providing service to others. I like to learn about and share my understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. I am pleased to be associated with so many other people that share similar interests regarding the life and ministry of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have served in various capacities within the organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It has been my pleasure to be a student and a teacher to both young and old. I believe that it is important to approach each task in humility seeking the Lord's guidance. It is through providing service to others that we may serve our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
