Hi I'm Melanie

I'm a daughter, a sister, a wife, and a full-time mother of three. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spend most of my day caring for our family, which includes my husband and our three young children. It's a busy life, but I love to find new places to go and explore and learn with my children to keep us happy and having lots of fun too. I've learned to sew over the past couple of years and have found such fulfillment in being creative and being capable of making something myself or repairing it. And it keeps me sane. I also like to read when I can squeeze it in. When I was in college and in the workplace I never pictured myself finding the joy I do in caring for my family. I also never thought I would use so much of the knowledge and experiences I gained there in my everyday life as a wife and mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel blessed to have the guidance that the Gospel of Jesus Christ offers as instruction for living and how to raise a family in today's world. It is tricky and tough and tiring most days and to know that there is a constant in life is so important. The teachings of Christ help me to know what to do when I can"t figure it out on my own and give me the to courage to be able to do what I know I have to when I don't want to do it on my own.

How I live my faith

I've been able to serve and teach women, youth and children in the church. I currently help to organize compassionate services to women and their families who need them when they're sick, injured or otherwise in need. I try to be an example of Christ to my friends and neighbors by the way I live. I try to reach out to those who need a friend or a listening ear and love to serve in many capacities and try to teach my children to do the same. We attend church, pray, learn from the scriptures, and serve and have fun together as a family.
