Hi I'm Shannon

I have grown up in Colorado and I teach and take care of children! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of three wonderful and beautiful girls. I LOVE horses and enjoy riding them however I don't have one at this time so I just go into my la la la land and pretend. (Lol ) I love teaching and taking care of Gods children!!! I enjoy reading a good mystery book, I like to pretend I am CSI and figure out the mystery.:) I enjoy reading my scriptures and learning more about our loving Savior. I love serving others! Most of all I love being with my family that I love so much!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. I have always been a Mormon, however I haven't always been an active mormon. I could only live off of my parents believe for so long and then it came time for me to find out for myself. I lived a year doing what I wanted and didn't make Heavenly Fatheror his teachings a priority in my life and I can honestly say that that was the worst year of my life. I came home and I prayed and I read my scriptures and I asked if it was true. I felt a very strong feeling come over me that it was and I have been a mormon ever since. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and it is hard trying to figure out just what that is, but one thing I have to remember is that it is not my will it is his. That has been a hard thing to learn and accept because I am the type of person that wants it fixed now! I have a testimony of our Heavenly Father and of his Son our older Brother Jesus Christ. I love the gospel and the happiness and the peace it brings to me. Sometimes its hard to get through eachday but I know I am not a lone and that my Heavenly Father is here with me to help me endure to the end. I am greatful to know that I will see my loved ones again, that have passed on and that life doesn't end after death. I know that Heavely Father hears my prayers and answeres them. He loves me and I know he loves each and everyone of you.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in the community and in our church. I work with the youth in our church and as a youth we do a lot of service projects for people or organizations that are in need of some help. We take meals to people that need them. We make blankets for shelters. We do all sorts of yard projects for people. We even venture off into the wilderness to work on our survival skills. Woo Hoo!!! I \also helpe organize events that go on in our community and church. I also visit with women in the community just to see how they are doing and if there is anything they are in need of. I think one of the greatest gifts you can give in life is service. It brings you close to a variety of people and it brings you closer to God.
