Hi I'm Gabe Hohneke

I'm a good ol' Southern boy. I like to think that I make people laugh. I'm an Eagle Scout. I love Hispanic food. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in the Tennessee Nashville Mission speaking Spanish. I come from a wonderful family of seven. Before my mission, I placed top ten in a national film competition and obtained the highest rank in scouting, the Eagle Scout award. I love reading and learning new things. I am the oldest child of my family, and I usually don't let my siblings forget it. My father was in the army growing up, and I had to learn at a young age how to be the man of the house. I have grown up a member of this church and continue to live my religion every day.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was around 17, I started to doubt my beliefs in the church. Through the example of a close friend, I was able to find out for myself that these things are true. I'm not a member because my parents told me to, or because it is convenient. I know for a fact now that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me, and I love him. That's why I am serving a mission right now.

How I live my faith

In 1 Timothy 4:12, it is read, "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." I believe that it is through our examples that we are best living our faith. Faith is a principle of action, therefore, we must act in order to be believers. I try to live my life in such a way that it lifts others unto Christ. I am also a missionary. Sharing His gospel is one of the best ways of showing your faith in him. If you liked a song, wouldn't you want to share it with your friends? The same applies to the gospel!
