Hi I'm Lance

I grew up in the Cornhusker State of Nebraska. I am a college graduate from Peru State College and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to hunt, play games, and to scare people. I am a really funny guy and if you don't beleive me you can ask my wife. I love spending time with my family and meeting new people. After 12 years of attending College I finally graduated with a 4 year degree. Yes, I drug my feet a little in getting an education, but that was because I couldn't figure out what I wanted to be. Some people grow up knowing exactly what they want. I was not one of them. I am working as a manager in a food manufacturing plant, where I am finding it hard to make everyone happy. One of my favorite quotes is from Thomas Edison."I have not failed 10,000 times I have just found 10,000 ways that won't work."

Why I am a Mormon

For 21 years I rode on the backs of the testimonies of my parents. One Sunday I was challeged to find out for myself whether the Book of Mormon was true. After reading Moroni's Promise in the Book of Mormon(Moroni 10:3-5) and then praying to ask if the Book of Mormon was true, I received an anwser. The answer did not come immediately. Infact, I was frustrated that I didn't receive an immediate anwser. I was so frustrated at the time that I went to bed early. I woke up in the middle of the night and could not get back to sleep so I began to pray. I was not even able to make it through the prayer before I was overcome by the power of the spirit. After 21 years I had my own testimony to share. It was mine and nobody elses, it has made me the man I am today. I learned that my time and the Lord's time are not the same. The Lord truly anwsers prayers. He does not always answer our prayers when we want, but when we need them.

How I live my faith

I have used what I have learned as a memeber of the church in being a husband, a father, and a manager at my work. I believe treating people with respect and not judging them for their short comings. I have made mistakes and have used the atonement of Jesus Christ in my life. The Book of Mormon prophet King Benjamin has taught me the best way to lead, is to serve. That is how I try to live my faith.
