Hi I'm Clara

I am a wife, a friend, and an organizer. I have crazy, curly hair and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Management and Youth Leadership. For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed playing and watching sports, serving friends and complete strangers, being in nature, organizing, and being with people! My major was perfect for me! The three things that bring the greatest fulfillment in my life are: 1) Learning and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ 2) Building friendships through service, love, and understanding 3) And being married to my best friend. I am the happiest when I am following Heavenly Father's commandments and am with friends and family that I love. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and all of His children. I am grateful for this knowledge.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised six children and I was blessed to be number five! I grew up in a home where going to church each Sunday, singing hymns around the piano, having Gospel discussions, and reading the scriptures and praying daily as a family was a part of who we were. When I was eight years old I was so excited to be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Now sixteen years later I am still so excited that I was baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Why? Because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is truly Jesus Christ's church. And for me being a member of His church has provided a wealth of opportunity to learn about my Savior, build meaningful friendships, and make covenants that allow me to be together forever with those I love the most, my family.

How I live my faith

In James 1: 22 it reads, "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only...". Also in verse 27 of James 1 it reads, "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." I think these two scriptures beautifully state how I am trying to live my faith. First I am striving daily to follow Christ's example and be a "Christ like person" in word and deed. Second, I am daily trying to learn more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Third, I am trying to live what I believe and not be a hypocrite. Fourth, I am actively trying to do good and serve people around me. Fifth, I'm trying to be compassionate and show charity to family, friends, and strangers. And sixth I am trying to keep the commandments, keep my thoughts and actions pure and clean, and resist temptation so that I can remain "unspotted from the world".
