Hi I'm Anya

I grew up in Vladivostok, Russia. When I was 15, my family immigrated to the US. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of two small chidren. I am also a wife of an orthopaedic surgery resident. Before I became a stay-at-home mom, I had a career in Human Resources and I taught college classes in American Government. My favorite thing in the world is reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was 15 years old. After immigrating to the US, I was struggling to learn English, make new friends, and understand a new culture. Learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ provided me with hope an opportunity to assimilate. The reason why the gospel of Jesus Christ is so important to me is because of the importance of family relationships that will last beyond our mortal life. I also appreciate the example of my Savior and how he treated others.

How I live my faith

I love serving other people. Currently I help organize activities for the women in our ward. I also get to teach a lesson to the women every three months. Associating with women of different ages and backgrounds enriches my life as I learn from them and their life experiences.
