Hi I'm Fernando

I'm an Accounting/Math student. I'm in Play Theory/Improv team. I'm part of of the Italian club And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an Accounting student. I love roller coasters. I love to study Italian on my free time. I am very passionate about math. I am always looking for something related to math in objects and situations. I play the sax. I am part of the improv team at my school. I love animals. I am a big fan of Paul Cardall, Andrea Bocelli, and Laura Pausini. I love making crazy dives off the diving board.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I have had so many witnesses of the Book of Mormon drawing me closer to God. The teachings contained in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints gives me a better perspective of this life and how I can have a more fulfilling life. Everything is centered around the Savior. The teachings of the modern day prophets are exactly what we need for today and it's the will of God for us. The gospel of Jesus Christ is not something outdated. The laws of God remain constant. The Book of Mormon is true. Thomas S. Monson is the prophet today. This hasn't just affected my spiritual life. Applying the teachings of this church has helped me to overcome learning impediments(especially fear). My relationships greatly improved. And my spiritual learning motivates my secular learning.

How I live my faith

I served a full time mission in Orlando, Florida. I have no sweeter memory in my life that to share these truths with my brothers and sisters. And when I came home from my mission, my greatest desire was to share that with all of my other friends. Everyone that has come in contact with me knows about my enthusiasm for learning the gospel. I have talked to my home ward bishop's wife about introducing fun improv games when I go back home. I am very involved at my school's activities and I always get so anxious to share the gospel with my friends. I love when people come to me with their Math questions. 1) Be 100% present. When I am aware of my surroundings, I know what others' needs are. I am detemrined to find out what God wants done and learn how to do it for I am determined to accomplish His will. Being 100% present means not letting things of this world distract me when I know God is speaking to me. 2) Let go and play. Forget myself in the service of others and not let my own insecurities get in the way of what I know I should do. Check my ego out the door. This means having the courage to stand for my beliefs and having the courae to act on the promptings I have. 3) Yes and...nothing kills a situation more than turning others away coldly. Picking up others' offers and making them special is what the Savior wants for me. He said that if any man asks you to walk a mile with him, walk two. 4) Look outward. When you make others look good, you end up looking good yourself. My mom is the biggest example of this. It is so easy for her to make others feel so special and they really feel she was sent by the Lord to comfort them. My mom does little things like pay them very sincere compliments, to buying water for the mechanic to just smiling. Just like the children's song says, I'm trying to be like Jesus.
