Hi I'm Rocky

I'm from Nebraska. I went to MHS and ASU. I'm Tiffany's husband and the proud father of Reese, Brighton & Brigham. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from Mesa High School and then received my Bachelor's Degree from Arizona State University. Right now, I'm working on my Master's Degree through Northern Arizona University. I am the Youth Coordinator for the City of Maricopa. I love sports and watching movies. My favorite thing in the world is spending time with my wonderful wife and 3 amazing kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I converted to the church on New Year's Day 2004. I thought it would be the ultimate New Year's resolution. I explored quite a few other churches before I found the Lord's truly restored one. This church fit my beliefs and the lifestyle I was already living. I knew that I wanted to be a husband and father more than anything else in life. I also knew that I never wanted my children to view me as a hypocrite so I needed to live the life I wanted them to live someday. Once, I found how much the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints fit me and how comfortable it made me feel, I prayed about it's truthfulness. My answer came as clear as day. This church is too perfect to not be true and it has to be operated through our Heavenly Father. My favorite part of the gospel is that I know that I am sealed to my wife and children through time and all eternity by being married in the temple. The world's traditional view of marriage vows end with "til death do we part" and I realized that would not be enough. In my opinion, this church is the only church that can give you the greatest gift in the world, time with your family.

How I live my faith

I find that living the laws of the gospel can simplify my life. It reduces the stress that come with "living on the edge." I get the opportunity to teach about the church in my calling as a Gospel Principles instructor. I am also very involved with the kids in my community because of my job responsibilities. I try to be a positive example and role model to those around me.
