Hi I'm Shannon

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am currently preparing to enter my mission in the Philippines, Urdaneta Mission. I am so excited to serve the Lord by serving his children in the Philippines, and helping them come to know the Savior, Jesus Christ. I love the Gospel. I enjoy being physically active and healthy, and have a passion for music and dance. I love reading The Book of Mormon, and know it´s true. I know that my family can be together forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know without a doubt that it's true. The Book of Mormon is true. When I pray, I know that my Father in Heaven not only hears me, but he answers, too. The Gospel has always brought peace and joy to my life as I've continued to live it. I find happiness as I strive to live as Jesus Christ did. I know my family can be together forever - for all Eternity. I know I'll see my loved ones who have passed on from this life again.

How I live my faith

Somebody once said that if we could see ourselves as God sees us, we would never be the same again. I strive everyday to live up to the potential that God knows I have. I try to follow my Savior's example everyday by helping and uplifting others by inviting others to come to Christ through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and his Atonement, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Family is the most important social unit. Mormons believe that the relationships we share as families are meant to last for eternity - even beyond the grave. Through special temple ordinances performed by those who have the proper priesthood authority, families can be bound together forever. I know that I'll be able to see my loved ones again.
