Hi I'm Michael

I'm a native Arizonan. I am married with 4 kids. I'm a high school basketball coach and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports. I follow all of them all the time. I teach high school Spanish and coach boys basketball so I get to do what I love for work. My hobbies are collecting and listening to Rock music and playing video games. I enjoy having a good time every day. I play hard and I work hard. I enjoy playing basketball, tennis, and golf. I love my family more than anything. I am a loyal son, brother, husband, dad, and friend. My family and friends are the most important part of my life and I would do anything for them. My motto is to live my life with no regrets one day at a time.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in Safford a small town in Arizona. I was born into the church to very active parents. I had the opportunity to follow the examples of many good people throughout my life. Not only are my parents and brothers and sister active members of the church but also my grandparents, relatives, and friends. I loved growing up in Safford in the Gila Valley and doing things with friends like playing church softball, going to stake dances, and dragging Main street with friends on Friday and Saturday nights. I went on a Mormon mission to Chile and it was the greatest time of my life. Before leaving for 2 years I had to know if the church was true. The year before I left I studied the Book of Mormon and prayed to know that it was true. The feeling I received was that I always knew it was true. Things have not always been easy in my life but by following the teachings of the gospel things always seem to work out. I have been very blessed throughout my life by doing the right things and making good choices. I know the lord has a plan for me. I believe that my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has guided me in my life and helped me to make these decisions. I know the Book of Mormon is true and I know that I have always had the companionship of the Lord throughout my life. I love the gospel and what it teaches. I wouldn't be the person I am today without it.

How I live my faith

I am a member of a ward of the Mormon church in Chandler, Arizona. I teach the adult Sunday school class every other Sunday. I prepare the lesson the week before I teach and it really helps me learn more about the Lord Jesus Christ. I also have a calling as a home teacher. My son is my home teaching companion and we have 4 families that we visit each month. My family and I attend our ward every week and we try to be active members of our ward and a positive addition to the community.
