Hi I'm Heather

I am a wife. I am a mother to 5. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Eastern WA on a farm with my parents and 4 siblings. My husband and I have been married for 13 years and have 5 beautiful children, 1 son and 4 daughters. 3 years ago our 6-year-old daughter passed away from a brain tumor known as DIPG. Being a mom is the hardest and most rewarding thing I have ever done. I love playing the piano, exercising, chasing my kids, being with my extended family and serving in my church callings. My life is full and despite some ups and downs I can honestly say that I am happy.

Why I am a Mormon

Mormonism was taught in my home as a child and demonstrated faithfully by my parents. In my teens my testimony of the Book of Mormon became stronger. I have received my own witness of the truthfulness of Joseph Smith's vision and the Restoration of the Church. I know that membership in this church has blessed my life beyond measure. The message of the gospel has given me hope and something to cling to in the midst of tragedy. I believe that Jesus Christ died for me, for you, for everyone who has ever lived on this earth.

How I live my faith

My husband and I faithfully take our children to church every Sunday where possible. I currently enjoy serving with the youth in my church family. Specifically I work with the 12-13 year old girls. I help out with musical opportunities at church whenever possible. I pray daily that I can be an instrument of God by helping those around me. I try to teach my children from the scriptures and let them know that they are children of God whose lives have purpose, direction and meaning.
