Hi I'm Tara

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my husband in the Manti Utah temple and have been married for seven years. We have two little girls and are blessed to be expecting our third. :) We currently live in the state of Washington. I truly enjoy running, writing, camping, and simply being out in nature away from the city. It is where I can draw closer to the Savior and Father in Heaven. I have set a goal to learn to play the piano and learn the Mandarin language. I am very excited! :) I have completed some college classes in nutrition, health, and fitness through a couple different schools. And I plan to return to school and become a registered dietitian.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know without a doubt that this gospel is true! I have never felt more assurance, comfort, peace, strength, and precise direction in anything else or anywhere else. It's the one place that I can feel a true closeness with the Savior and Father in Heaven and get answers I need. I developed a testimony and relationship with my Heavenly Father and Savior at a young age as I got myself to church each Sunday. I attended without my parents and a lot of times without my sibling. Following my heart and instinct at such a young age, with faith, opened the door for receiving personal revelation and personal confirmation that the Church is true as well as The Book of Mormon. I have been blessed my entire life since then with protection, guidance, and continued personal revelation/confirmations. There is no doubt in mind that the things in The Book of Mormon are true and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only church with the fulness of the gospel. It teaches from The Book of Mormon as well as the Bible. Together, hand in hand, they are the fulness of the gospel. I continue to follow Christ's gospel because anytime I drift from it, I immediately feel lonely, confused, insecure, and scared. It only makes sense because it is in this gospel that protection, true happiness, peace, comfort, and wholeness is found.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to be called to serve in different areas of the church. I currently serve in the Primary presidency as the 2nd counselor. I enjoy my calling, especially teaching the children of the ward from ages four to twelve. I am reminded through these children each week how to be more Christ-like and why Christ taught everyone to be more like little children. The simple truths in the songs we sing and in the lessons taught to the children continue to teach me; reminding me how simple the gospel is and how simple it is to understand and live. I also get to organize and plan activities for the children at different points during the year. I love being creative and love the children. :) Aside from my church callings, I am a stay at home wife and mother/homemaker. What a rewarding calling this has been. It has been the biggest place for rewards, love, acceptance, and growth! What a blessing it is to be able to call on my Savior and Father in Heaven for guidance in raising my children as they would have me do and call upon them to recognize my short comings and to be molded by their divine help. It truly is the closest to divinity.
