Hi I'm Kristi!

I'm a high school freshman. I love to laugh. I love to play the guitar. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a freshman in high school. I lived in the same place for the first 14 years of my life, but last year I moved to a different town. I played school and rec volleyball for three years, then started playing club volleyball. I had an interest in playing the piano and guitar, but felt like I was too old to start taking lessons, so I decided to teach myself. I came to the conclusion that you are NEVER too old to learn something new, and that its NEVER too late. So practicing is how I spend most of my free time. When I grow up, I either want to be an interior designer or a nurse. I'm hopefully going to get accepted in to BYU Utah and get my degree there. I have a loud and unique laugh, I'm quite clumsy, I don't eat my vegetables, and I'm not a good singer no matter how much I love to try. I'm not perfect, but hey, who is? I'm just doing the best I can to choose the right and love life at the same time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born with the blessing of being in a family that was already members of the church. But, when I was eight years old and it was time for me to be baptized, it was MY choice. Not my parents, or the bishops or anyone else's. It was my personal choice and I know I made the right one. I'm still young but the gospel has already blessed me and my family so much. Knowing that there's more to life than what my friends think of me, what I look like, or anything like that has helped me get through some days. Knowing that there is a God who is well aware of me & who loves me exactly the way I am has given me so much comfort. I know that through prayer and scripture study Heavenly Father answers my prayers. I've been blessed with that so many times. I'm a Mormon because I know it's true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always trying to be happy. There are so many blessings around everyone, all we have to do is count them. I try to remember the bigger picture. The fact that there is more to life than appearance and drama. Life's all about being the most Christ-Like person we possibly can be, so that when the time comes, we can return to Heaven with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I attend seminary, the LDS scripture study class that is offered to everyone. Seminary is such a blessing. It allows me to escape the craziness of the world for an hour a day just to feel the spirit and strengthen my testimony. Even if sometimes I feel invisible to the world, I know that Heavenly Father is well aware of me and cares about me, just like everybody. His love is really all that matters. I love life, my family, friends, the Gospel and this beautiful world.
