Hi I'm Yentl

Dutch, a sister, a Child and Educational Sciene Bachelor, an Honours student, a missionary and a mormon!

About Me

I have been born and raised in the Netherlands. I'm an Honours College student, I studied child and education studies and I secretly like to study! In my spare time I love to teach my Primary and Young Women, play the piano, swim, write, organize concerts/activities and hang out with my friends. I love to play games, tease my two older brothers and a lot more. My life motto is: "veni vidi risi", which means "I came, I saw, I laughed". Also, according to some people I can be the definition of sarcasm. :p I have been called to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint in Washington D.C. I love to teach people and children. I've been working on the development of a new high school concept, based mostly on academic research and I'm looking forward to completing my masters when I return from my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the gospel is one of the best things in my life. It has helped me through some rough times in my life and I feel how it helps me become a better person every day. It just brightens my day even though it may be rainy outside and I love it when I see how the gospel can not only change my life for the better, but also that of the people around me. I know the church is true. I know Heavenly Father loves his childeren and has sent his son Jesus Christ to atone for our sins. I am also very grateful for Heavenly Father's plan of salvation. Knowing that this is not everything, that there is life beyond death and that, when we keep his commandments, we can live with Heavenly Father and all of our loved ones in families is the best gift of all. I am so grateful that by keeping Gods commandments, we can achieve more happiness and can receive more knowledge in this life and can try to reach our full potential, as children of God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through an example. Most people find out in their first or second conversation with me that I'm religious and also the things I do and don't do. I have been a teacher in, and responsible for the children in Primary, which is a sort of sunday school for children. During this time I have given a lot of lessons about Jesus Christ and our loving Heavenly Father, been a musical instructor and organised several activities.
