Hi I'm Shayna

I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, a volleyball player, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sophomore at my High School this year and I love it! Every morning before I go to school I have seminary. Seminary is a life saver for me. Although it is at 6 a.m. it is my favorite thing in the world. It brings the wonderful spirit into my day so I can keep it throughout the rest of they day. I have a wonderful family, a father who is hard-working and who is also my hero, a mother who is a great homemaker and an awesome hair cutter, and 3 siblings: an older brother, a younger sister, and a younger brother. They are my rock. My family helps me become the person I want to become. I play volleyball. I have been playing since I was in 3rd grade and it is so much fun. I am a middle blocker/hitter. I also LOVE kids! I babysit on almost all of my weekends. I love science. When I grow up I plan on being a pediatrician. In my life I try very hard to be an example to others because I find that important for the people younger than me. I love traveling. I have moved across the country twice. I love seeing the beautiful world that our Savior created for us. That pretty much sums my life up!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a LDS family and I am so grateful for that. I have never doubted being a Mormon. This gospel makes me so happy to know that I am a child of God and that he loves me and knows me by name! I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Joseph Smith was such a courageous man for going into the Sacred Grove and praying and asking the Lord what church was true. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today named Thomas S. Monson. I know that he is a messenger of God and loves everyone of us. I know that prayer is powerful. Heavenly Father will answer you. He always does...although it may not be at the time you want it. I know this gospel will give everyone of us pure happiness because it gives me happiness.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and every Tuesday night. I have seminary every morning before school. Seminary is a class where we learn about the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I find participating in church events very important. The gospel is the main part in my life. I love being a Mormon!
