Hi I'm Cinda

I love puzzles and animals. I have 2 cats that I spoil daily. I enjoy learning new things, I love my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read. I like mysteries and thrillers, self-improvement books, health, psychology, diet and nutrition, LDS fiction, gospel centered books, some biographies, and current events. I also read the obituaries and comics every day. I listen to a variety of music on my i-pod, but I love to listen to comedy in my car. Laugh USA is my favorite channel. I have returned to school - I am a sophomore at the University of Phoenix -an online college, where I am working towards a Psychology degree. I don't have any unsung music in me, but I do think there is a book or two waiting to come out. I met my eternal companion online 14 years ago. We have a beautiful love story. He lived in Indiana, while I was living in Florida. Our lives changed so dramatically for the good when we met. It truly was a match made in heaven. I work in Sales and Marketing at a Retirement Community. I love my job, I love the wonderful and interesting people that I am so blessed to meet and build relationships with. I love that my job allows me to serve people every day. Can you imagine having a job that pays you to be as nice as you can?? It's better than eating ice cream every day.

Why I am a Mormon

Although baptized when I was 8, our family was part member and dysfunctional. I developed my own testimony when I was 24, desperate to know if God knew who I was, and what exactly was Jesus' role in my relationship with God. I spent almost 24 hours crying to Heavenly Father to help me understand Him. He heard my prayers, and with each question in my heart, I saw and felt deeply profound answers. Most importantly, I understood the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and then felt the love of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ envelope me. I wish that I could say from that moment on I was perfect and never sinned; but I can say that I my understanding of the Atonement, which grows more perfect every day, helps me to understand the importance of true and frequent (if not daily) repentance. I love this church; it is my spiritual home while I'm away from my Godly home. I love the members, my dear brothers and sisters. I'm so thankful for the eternal bonds of family.

How I live my faith

My husband is called through church to be a part of the Purdue Student Ward bishopric. The students keep me acutely aware of the energy level of twenty somethings compared to fifty somethings! They have some sort of an activity almost every night. They are such good examples to me. They have frequent Temple Trips, and service projects. They are so amazingly kind and compassionate to the less fortunate. Nonmembers, who often visit the church, are included and often swept up in their swirl of fellowship and activity. I love being a surrogate mom when they let me. Mostly that is when they need food for an activity, and often when they just need a hug, but I'll take that any day!! Most people who know me for any length of time, know that I am LDS. They know that I don't drink alcohol, smoke, or use tea or coffee. My really close friends know that I like chocolate!
