Hi I'm Kate

I'm a teacher, a wife, and a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Southern California. I loved living in a sunny place close to the water! I left California to pursue my education in Utah and later in New York City. I returned to Utah to teach 5th grade and am loving the mountains and changing seasons here, though I am still getting used to living in the snow. I love traveling, learning about new cultures, reading, teaching, horseback riding, and spending time with my family and friends. I am also enjoying being a new wife!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints brings true peace, joy, and hope into my life. I can't help but be happy and grateful when I think about the things I know as a Mormon. I know that I am a loved daughter of our Heavenly Father. I know that I have a Savior who died for me and made it possible for me to repent and strive to be more like HIm. I know that this life is a test and that my goal is to return to live with my Heavenly Father and Savior eternally. I know that my earthly family can be together forever. I know that I can go to my Heavenly Father in prayer and that He will hear my prayers and answer them through His Holy Spirit. I am grateful for the knowledge of the Gospel and the direction and purpose it gives to my life. I am happiest when I'm following the commandments of Christ found in the Scriptures and given through His prophets. I am grateful for the restoration of the true Gospel through the Prophet Joseph Smith and the continued revelation we receive from our living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching the youth in my church on Sundays with my husband. We love spending time with these sweet spirits and learning from their pure, simple testimonies. I also have the opportunity to visit with women every month in their homes as we share a message about the Gospel of Christ.
