Hi I'm Larry

I'm a husband, father and grandfather; a retired family therapist; a writer of fiction and nonfiction; and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

We all choose what to believe, who to vote for, and even what shirt to wear each day. I enjoy making my own choices and have had lots of practice over the years doing so. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has always given me a practical and spiritual perspective on marriage, family life and parenting, human relationships, important current issues, and even on sports and humor in my life. In short it has given me direction and helped me in every aspect of my existence. It has provided me meaning, hope and happiness when times are good as well as during life's trials and hardships.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it answers all the important questions I have about living through difficulties, challenges, heartaches and all the good and bad we encounter here on earth. But even more importantly it provides me with all that is truly important including the knowledge that a fulness of joy is in store for me and my loved ones in the life to come as we do our best to live according to the Savior's teachings..

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

The doctrine of grace clearly shows the Savior Jesus Christ's love for us. During His ministry He taught us to keep God's commandments, the most important of which is to love God and to love our neighbor as ourselves. It is by service to our fellow man that we demonstrate our love for God and His Son Jesus Christ. In speaking of loving our brothers and sisters, which comes by serving them, Jesus said: "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me" (Matthew 25:40). When we do our best to serve and love others, including our enemies, Jesus Christ bestows His grace upon us and we are saved in His Kingdom. Show more Show less
