Hi I'm Eric Trott

I'm happy and enjoy life. I love being spontaneous as well as doing sports and athletics. I'm in college and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Arizona and love the heat. I love running out to the lake to wakeboard or driving up to the mountains and hiking back to waterfalls and swim spots. I love my friends and family and would do anything for them. Some of my favorite times are spent taking road trips and going on different random trips! they're the best because you can just make it up as you go along. I like doing things with friends and getting to know new people. I served a 2-year mission in the Florida Jacksonville Mission where I learned spanish. I also learned the importance of hard work and persevering to the end in everything you do. I come from a blended family. Altogether I have 8 other siblings. At times it was crazy but there was never a dull moment. I'm dedicated and loyal. I know who I am and where I'm going and i'm excited to see what life brings.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a very logical thinker. I'm not super emotional and so growing up hearing the stories of the warm and fuzzy feeling of the spirit never really hit me. But before I had decided to serve a mission for the church I had to know if what I was going to be spending all my time and efforts teaching others was right and if it was true. So I prayed. The answer that I had received was so undeniable strong that I knew at that moment that this was the right path to take. My answer came as something very unique and individual to me. I felt good, it made sense, I felt the spirit. Everyone feels the spirit in a different way and for me, in an instant, it was perfectly clear and so I made my decision to embrace the gospel and have never been happier. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ has shown me a way to overcome all trails and challenges, and not just endure them but endure them well. The security and tranquility that comes from know you are exactly where the Lord needs and wants you to be overwhelms all feeling of doubt inadequacy. The gospel of Christ is a gospel of Hope. It is a gospel of love and joy and will bring you closer to Him and our Father than will any other way. "A testimony is not emotion it is the very essence of character woven by the threads born of countless correct decisions.(Richard G Scott)" I'm a Mormon because I've tried and tested the Lord and time after time it all leads me back to this. Christ lives, The Book of Mormon is the word of God, he has prophets on the Earth today, and this is his church.

How I live my faith

At church I'm on the fellowshipping committee. I visit and get to know the new members of the ward as well as people I haven't gotten the chance to meet or know yet. I like to participate in church activities, lots of times we'll get together and play basket ball. I try to make myself open for anyone that wants to learn more about the church to be able to ask me.
