Hi I'm Beverly A. Contreras

I'm a Mormon.I lived in Arizona for 58 years. I now live in Colorado with a daughter to help out with her children.

About Me

I was blessed to stay home and raise five wonderful children, who love each other and take care of each other. When I was forty-eight, I went back to school for six years and got degrees in elementary and art education. I have been able to enjoy my twelve grandchildren. I now live in Colorado with a daughter, whose husband works overseas, and help her with her family of four children. I took great pride of my Arizona roots, but the beauty of Colorado is stunning. I love to garden, bake cinnamon rolls (and just about anything), sew costumes and to create for my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the world of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. I always loved to go to church for as long as I can remember, except for short period in my teen years. Even being born a "Mormon", you have to attain your real testimony of the truthfulness of it. As a teenager attending seminary before high school started, we were challenged to read the Book of Mormon. For some reason, I did. I know that this book is true. The teachings are of Jesus Christ, and there isn't anything selfish doctrine preached within it.

How I live my faith

I have served in many ways in the many wards I have lived in. Many times I have worked in our nurseries, taught all ages in Primary, Sunday school and taught crafts to the women of. I've worked in the ward libraries.
