Hi I'm Naomi

Grew up in Salt Lake City Utah. Grew up mostly alone as my siblings were lots older than I. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Utah, and met my husband of 25 years there. We have 3 beautiful children. My oldest is on a mission in Argentina, and his mission has blessed our lives so much. I have a daughter that has decided that she would like to serve a mission, and a son that will leave in about a year and a half. I like to read, and study about nutrition, and even though I don't eat like I should, I would like to someday! lol I like crafts. I have tried quilting. Not really my thing, but cross stitching hand work I love. I love to decorate my house in country. Someday I hope to really do some decorating. My family makes me happy. I love to do anything with them. We are a close family because we have done so many fun things together, and it doesn't cost too much. Just enjoying each others company is fun!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in Salt Lake City Utah to 2 wonderful parents who both were active. They were a lot older when I was born, consequently I grew up pretty much alone. All my siblings were a lot older as well. Most all my friends were members of the church. I had a few friends that weren't members, but most were. At some point though I had to find out if the church was true. Down in my heart and with the help of the Holy Ghost I knew the church was true. I felt very many times that the Lord was close by me. His spirit was felt very strong in so many places. I went on a mission when I was older to Portland Oregon, and this is where I really gained my testimony. Reading the Book Of Mormon changed my life. Knowing that Christ visited the Americans helped me to know that Christ loves all his people everywhere. The church is true! I'm so grateful to have it in my life. I have the knowledge that we will be with our families after this life. I know that Jesus is the Christ, and that he loves each and everyone of use. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

Being in a ward family is so important because not only do they support you when times are tough, but there is camaraderie. They know what you are going through good and bad. You become close friends, you love each other and their families. I have been in Primary for a long time. Secretary, chorister, primary teacher and nursery leader. Now I'm in an organization for adult women and I play the piano for meetings. None of us are paid for working in the church. We serve in the church, because serving others makes us happy, and when you are in the service of your fellowman, ye are in the service of your God. Once a month I visit other sisters. We make sure they are ok, and give them a short lesson, and ask if they need anything. I just recently myself had foot surgery. The ladies that visit me, brought my family dinner. What a blessing the church is!
