Hi I'm Carolyn

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in a mining town in Utah. Married my high school sweetheart 56 years ago, 4 sons and 17 grandchildren

About Me

I am a mom, retired from an oil company where I was a secretary for 13 years. I have held positions in both Ward and Stake in my church. Moved to many different areas with my family while husband was in military for 20 years. I love Family History and I am in the middle of writing my 2nd genealogy book about my ancestors.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and grew up attending Sunday services which we call Sacrament meeting plus Primary as a young child and Young Women as a teenager. I was married in the Temple and have found the church to be a simple, yet positive way of life. Our children have all been married in the Temple and all have a strong testimony of it's truthfulness. I have a strong testimony that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ know me personally and thru the Holy Ghost guide me to do what is right. Because of my love for genealogy I know that finding my ancestors and doing the temple ordinances for each of them help me to continue to be strong and a faithful member of the LDS church. I have the priviledge of working in the Temple and my testimony is greatly strengthened by the experiences I have there.

How I live my faith

I have been involved in leadership positions in both the Ward and Stake organizations. I have helped to organize several Family History Seminars for both church members and community members alike. I have developed many subjects to be taught at these seminars that would be interesting to members and community members that help them to learn how to research their ancestors. I have taught many Family History classes to Genealogy Societies. I am a member of the local and state Genealogy Societies. I have worked in PTA organizations, taught home nursing classes as well as being involved with the youth of my church.
