Hi I'm Cassidy

I love learning, music, art, the beach, and sunshine! I am serving as a sister missionary in Minnesota, Minneapolis. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My life is constantly being molded by our Heavenly Father as he allows me to see what I need to be doing and where I am going. I have been attending a University and studying to be an English teacher. I love it so much and I know that I am where I need to be. I am leaving Utah to serve a mission in Minneapolis, Minnesota!! This it the biggest blessing for me and I know that the gospel I am being given the opportunity to go out and share is true. I am so excited to go meet and teach the incredible people of Minnesota for the next 18 months. God has a plan, and while we may not recognize it all the time, he has his hand in our lives every step of the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member, so I never had any trouble finding the church. I leaned on the testimony of my parents, friends, and leaders until I started high school. In high school I started attending seminary (a scriptural study class, taken in the morning before or during school) and one of the first things my teacher said was "If you do not have a testimony of Jesus Christ and His church I invite you to find it, but until you do, you can rely on mine." This struck me, because I realized I didn't have a very strong testimony. That year I decided it was time to read the Book of Mormon in it's entirety. It was a wonderful experience. My Heavenly Father testified to me, through the holy spirit, that the words I read were true. Ever since that time there have been so many experiences where the truthfulness of what the Gospel teaches has be manifested to me. These experiences make it impossible for me to even want to deny myself the many blessings that Heavenly Father has given me through His church. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am currently spending 18 months living my faith in Minnesota, where I have been called by a prophet of God to spread the gospel to the people of Minnesota. It is the best thing ever! I get to bear testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ every single day, and sometimes with complete strangers that I know are children of God, and thus are my brothers and sisters. It's the best! I wouldn't want to be doing anything else. :)

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Cassidy
Mormon women are awesome!! We believe that as women in the Church that we are daughters of our Heavenly Father. We are his princesses and are given the blessing of bearing children. Mothers are given the responsibility in the family to care and nurture our children. In marriage the man and the woman are equals in responsibility and importance. We are all children of our Heavenly Father and he loves his sons and daughters equally. Show more Show less
