Hi I'm Brogan

I am from Oregon. I love the outdoors. I am a state champion log-roller. I love to snowboard. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am graduated from high school and am currently serving a mission in Indiana. I grew up in Oregon and I love the outdoors. I love snowboarding on Mt. Hood, hiking, camping, rafting, playing lacrosse, and pretty much any other sport or outdoor activity. As a senior in high school I took first place for logrolling in the state of Oregon. I plan on going to college after my mission for forestry and maybe engineering and I would like to become a forest firefighter.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church but that is not the only reason why I am a member of it. I didn't always like going to church or obeying the rules of the church. But I have gained a greater appreciation for the commandments and guidelines because I have seen the blessings of keeping them and also the sorrow it brings to disobey them. I have come to love this gospel and I am so grateful for God being so loving to bring it back to the Earth and all those years of the "Dark Ages". I am grateful for the willingness of Joseph Smith, dedicating his life to the Restoration of Christ's church. The Book of Mormon has made such a huge impact on who I have become in these short years that I have lived. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it truly is the word of God. I also know that the Bible is true, because it tells of Christ's life and ministry and testifies of His great atonement and love for us.

How I live my faith

As of right now, how I live my faith is by being a missionary. That is not to say that is the only reason why I am acting the way I am or doing what I am doing. But I have to be extra careful what I do right now because everybody knows who we are when we walk around in our white shirts and ties and our name tags on. But I live my faith one day at a time and do my best to live the way God and Jesus Christ would want me to live. I continue to strengthen my faith and gospel knowledge by studying the Book of Mormon, Bible, and the words of the living prophets. I do my best to strengthen other peoples faith and build them up, which in helps me out as well to know that I can make a difference in others lives.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

When missionaries come into someones home who is not a mormon they will share a message about how God and Jesus Christ restored the true gospel of Jesus Christ to the Earth through a prophet, just like He did with Moses of old. They will teach and testify of the Savior and His great plan of salvation and how we can return to live with Him. Show more Show less
