Hi I'm Terry.

I married a great lady, am the father of 7. I love family, working, studing, speaking spanish, college football and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a regular guy that has recieved exta-ordinary blessings. In 1949 I was born to great parents. We lived on a cattle ranch in Montana. Man, do I ever have a fun family. My parents taught me how to work until the job was done. I can't remember many days when I wasn't riding horses and doing chores. We prayed together, laughed together, and we always served in the church together. Most of my youth was spent in eastern Arizona. What a change from the COLD of Montana, to the HEAT of Arizona. And then there was sports! I loved football. I fondly remember high school and college days, good friends, learning and football. In the middle of all that, my life changed forever as I served two years as a missionary in Mexico. It provided me with great love for others. It changed me. I learned of others way of life, thier language, their love for thier families and their country. I especially grew sharing with them my love for our Father-in-Heaven and his Son, Jesus Christ. In July of 1975 I was eternally blessed, I met my incredible companion. She and my children are the greatest joys of my life. This past December, 2013, my heart was broken when she passed away. There are no words to express how much I love and miss her. The Savior is blessing me through this difficult time. I am a partner in an insurance brokerage working with very talented associates. Life brings to each of us, events that challenge our lives. Gratefully, I have been able to help them through difficult events.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon is a result of the many times I have felt thoughts in my mind and feelings in my heart that come to me from the Holy Ghost. He has confirmed to me the truth of Christ's teachings found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. Gratefully my parents taught me to love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I honestly have a great desire to be his eternal son. As I consider the incredible life and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, I hope to be forgiven of my sins and weaknesses through his great and incredible Atonement. Some day I hope to thank him personally. I remember the wonder of being baptized into His church, the joy of being married eternally in the Temple of God to my wife for all time and eternity. My eternal marriage means everything to me, especially now that she as passed away. This helps me know why I feel happy to be a Mormon. I am amazed at the blessings and gifts Father-in-Heaven gives to me. He has blessed me way beyond what I have earned. I know that because of his goodness and the ordinances of his priesthood, my wife and I can have our children and their children, sealed together as an eternal family. This knowledge empowers me and humbles me. I am thrilled because of it. Every ounce in a while I have to smile at myself in my weakness. Everyday the gospel of Christ truly makes me a better person.

How I live my faith

The scriptures teach us about God's greatest gift to each of us. He said; 'This my work and my glory to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.' He said; 'this is your work, to keep my commandments, yea, with all your might, mind and strength.' If I can live my life so that I earn the respect and trust of my family and others, living my life in a manner that they know of my love for God and them, that would make me happy. Sometimes it takes all my might, mind and strength. Many years ago my mother told me something I will never forget. She said; 'be sure to never miss attending church each Sunday taking the sacrament of the Lord's supper, you never know but that that may be the very day that Christ may be there. You do not want to miss him.' For sure I do not ever want to miss him'. I know I make my share of mistakes. I try, but some time I just mess up and fall short. Thanks to Christ's greatest gift, He paid the price for my sins. Through my repentance and his atonement, I can be forgiven. My most loved scripture of all is; 'Behold, he who has repented of his sins, the same is forgiven, and I the Lord, remember them no more.' Teaching our children to love Him and follow Him has been a 38 year long work in progress. Together with my talented, wonderful companion, we have prayed together, studied together, worked together, had great fun together, and at times cried together. The gospel of Christ always guides us to the straight and narrow.
