Hi I'm Brice

I was born into the church and never did I think I would call Utah home.

About Me

I am divorced and remarried. I didn't choose to be divorced but I choose, every day, how I will live my life going forward. My children are the world to me, yet I find that I still fall short of being the perfect parent. I struggle to balance life and work and often feel guilt over working at all. Raising our children should be my number one priority, yet I find it all but impossible to do just that 100% of the time. What I have found is taking time and making deliberate time with each of them, one on one can make up for a lot of things. With children, listening is more important than trying to be understood.

Why I am a Mormon

Why? It is simple really. I know deep inside of myself, down to my very core and soul, that I have heavenly parents. That this earth was organized by my Father in Heaven, that I am his child and that he loves me. It is kinda funny really. I mean, I know it is much about faith. But aren't we all required to have faith in something? We just do not know everything, yet. But my faith is more than mere faith. While some aspects of life and God, I only have faith, in some areas, I rely on the faith of others. But in these few areas, I no longer have faith, but a certainty that I can never deny. And I know, because I have tired. Having faith does not exempt one from the trials of life. As God is no respecter of persons, he also does not protect the believers from from the pain and suffering of the world.

How I live my faith

I live it day to day. I try my best to grow and understand. And trying my best sometimes means not trying at all, but enduring. I live my faith in showing charity towards others. By standing by my beliefs and respecting the beliefs of others.
