Hi I'm Jill

I am an artist, a teacher, a college graduate, a wife and Mom to 3. I am also a Democrat. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I taught both K-8 art and high school art. I have recently taken a break and am currently staying at home with our 3rd (and last) child. I am currently showing and selling my unique pen and ink art at a local gallery. My degree is in Art Education and a minor in Geography.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I'm a Mormon? This is a very interesting question. I am a different Mormon than the one I was brought up to be. I did a lot of soul searching, and I realized I was brought up with a lot of the cultural pitfalls (not doctrinal pitfalls) associated with Mormonism. Some who did not like some of these things may have rejected Mormonism all together, and some do, but instead I realized that the doctrine of the church was not where my problem lied. Once I divided the two and only focused on the doctrine of the church, I have discovered the full truth of the Bible and Book of Mormon. I have also never been happier.

How I live my faith

I currently take care of the weekly bulletin for my local congregation. I also use childrens' (children in our congregation) artwork for the bulletin cover on occasion. I have maintained that it is very important that our children participate and have inclusion on the announcements that everyone has a copy of on a weekly basis.
