Hi I'm Lauri

I love life, I love learning, and I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I loved raising my children and being involved in their activities and with their friends. As they began leaving home, I decided to go back to college and received a Bachelor's degree and then a Masters. I found that I loved the process of learning new information and that my dedication to education was much greater than it had been years earlier.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon and have lived my life by the teachings of the church. I have gained a testimony one step at a time as I have learned gospel principles and tried to implement them into my life. One of the most comforting doctrines of the church is that of eternal families. In holy temples, husband and wife are married and sealed not only for their mortal lives but through the eternities. Family relationships can continue after death. This doctrine became a reality to me when my husband passed away. I know that we will be together again and that our relationship will continue.

How I live my faith

My membership in the church is more than just a once a week event...it is my life. I pray and read the scriptures daily. I am honest in my dealings, I try to be a good neighbor and serve others when I see a need. On Sundays, when I attend church, I have the opportunity to teach the women of the church and we discuss together the doctrines of the church. Being a Mormon means more than just going to church, it is a way of life. And it is a lot of fun!
