Hi I'm Delee.

I am a Wife. I am a Mother of three. I am a Christian. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Washington State and then moved to Utah to attend Cosmetology school. I met my husband and we moved to Southern Virginia and then back to Washington. We have three wonderful children. I love being a stay at home mom. I am passionate about cooking, exercise, and nutrition. I am currently writing a cook book and hope to have it published one day. I also love decorating and doing hair.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and have gained my own testimony of His Gospel through the loving example of my family and friends. I believe conversion is personal and can not be given to you by anyone else. I am a Mormon because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I want to follow His example so I can return to live with Him and my Heavenly Father someday. Living the Gospel is a part of who I am and who I want to become.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in anyway I can. Some people think that Mormons are "sheltered". I disagree. I have learned how to be compassionate, honest, hard working, confident, and a leader through my experiences in the Gospel. I have been given opportunities to speak in public, direct music, teach classes, plan and carry out meetings, and be a president of an organization. Through these opportunities I have gained real life experience. I have gained knowledge of why we are here on this earth. I know our Heavenly Father loves all of His children no matter what age, race, or social status we are. I have come to love people more deeply by serving others.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Delee.
We belive our bodies are a precious gift from God. We believe in keeping ourselves free from any kind of addiction and in having control of our mind and body at all times. We believe that it is a commandment from God to care for our body in the way we eat, dress, and act. We have a section of Scripture called the Word of Wisdom which instructs us about how to care for our bodies. We believe that if we follow the Word of Wisdom we will be blessed physically and spiritually. The Temple is a sacred and holy building where we can feel close to God. We refer to our body as a Temple because we believe it is also sacred and holy. We can feel closer to God by taking care of our bodies and being free from addiction and harmful substances. We believe that our outer appearance should refect the message of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
