Hi I'm Sarah Jane

I'm from St George-- red rock and cactus. I'm very happy in libraries. I believe in taking walks just because-- and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

This is a list about me: I like birds-- I like that they look at the world one eye at a time. I like rocking chairs. I am putting a rocking chair behind my computer if I ever work in an office. I like to waltz. I am in love with being outside-- future residence: tree house in a large garden; hammocks will be involved. I love the state of Nebraska. I like the state of Massachusetts. I like looking at sunspots through telescopes. I think elephants are the most fascinating. I'm almost a vegetarian; I eat sushi and fish. I want a carton of blueberries instead of a box of chocolates. I want a pineapple not a birthday cake. I've been a college student and a missionary. I lived in England and Scotland. I like painting impressionist style-- oil pastels and watercolor. I play the piano for fun after thirteen years of study and competitive performance. I studied English, Art, Music, American Sign Language, Astronomy/Physics and Pre-law. I have trouble making decisions that exclude other options. I like reading the classics, particularly Russian authors. I love Steinbeck. I make excellent smoothies. Secret recipes. My life goals are to: -scuba dive -climb mountains in Greece -find the people in the world without books and bring them some -love my family as much as is humanly possible -be always laughing. I like making lists. I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it answers all my questions. It makes sense and it brings me peace. I like it because there is always more to learn. I like it because with God nothing is impossible and I feel strength and peace when I live the principles that the church teaches. By living the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I learn how to be with my family forever and I learn how much God loves me. Those things bring me happiness. Those things matter to me. That's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love people. We are all children of God. When I think about that, I see people the way they are. Everyone I meet is beautiful and important. Right now I am in Omaha Nebraska and I am having the time of my life meeting people in grocery stores, on their front porches, sitting on benches in parks, and even on the pew next to me at church. I love that I can share the gospel with them. I find joy in the leaves on the sidewalk outside my door, and in the sunrise behind the Omaha skyscrapers at 7 am. I find joy in the smell of apple cider in the kitchen, and the smile from the mailman who always wears the same light blue beanie. All around me every day I feel gratitude for beautiful life. That is how I live my faith. God has given us so much-- it makes me grateful and it makes me happy! I live my faith by loving people and finding joy in everything.
