Hi I'm Brendan.

I'm a pre-dental student and Creative Writing major. I love basketball, rock climbing, and reading. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm studying pre-dental and creative writing and I work with mentally handicapped people, which is really fun. I love rock climbing, camping, basketball, reading, and hanging out with friends. I lived in Japan for two years as a missionary and learned a ton while I was there. When I get the chance, I like to keep up my language skills. Recently, I started taking piano lessons from a friend and I really enjoy it.

Why I am a Mormon

I've have found much more happiness by living the gospel than by not living it. Jesus Christ lives and guides this church, and I love following his example and drawing closer to God. There are a lot of good things about the church--good people, fun social activities, wholesome teachings--but ultimately I stick with it because I know it's true and I know it'll lead me to eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

I think one of the purposes of the gospel is to help us become like Christ. This is a big journey, but I try to do it with small daily steps, like studying the Bible and Book of Mormon, small acts of service, trying to be patient and loving when it's difficult, and prayer. I try to think about other people as Jesus would think of them and have that determine how I act.
